McIlwee, 46, joined the company as U.K. finance director in December 2000 and became distribution director in January 2005, Cheshunt, England-based Tesco said today in a statement.

The pets of the week are Oak, a 10-month-old male Rhodesian Ridgeback/pit bull terrier mix in cage D9, and a declawed calico female cat in cage C27. The Animal Care and Adoption Center of Texarkana, Ark., has 52 dogs, 10 puppies, 48 cats and five kittens for adoption, said a shelter official.
